Welcome to the Durham DEN

We are a network of evangelicals in the Church of England Diocese of Durham.

We share a passion for the gospel so that local churches, our diocese and the Church of England as a whole are encouraged in mission, evangelism and growth. We take the Bible as our authority and want to see lives changed by an encounter with Jesus Christ through his Spirit and his saving work on the cross. The network seeks to support and spur one another on in the service of Christ​.

Membership is open to all clergy and laity who live or work in the Diocese, and who affirm the CEEC Basis of Faith (including the Additional Declarations). To join, send an email to request to be added.

Annual gathering

All are invited (members and non-members) to our annual gathering. We will be welcoming Elaine Storkey, a well-known and respected author and speaker, who will be speaking on the topic of her recent book about Matthew's Gospel, Meeting God in Matthew. We're really looking forward to this event, which we hope will be a blessing to all in our diocese, and during which we will worship and pray together. (The DEN annual meeting will happen briefly for members during the morning.)
